Our routes are designed to give you a sense of the rhythm of Japanese nature — from quiet mornings in bamboo groves to the colour of maple gardens in the evening. Each walk is an opportunity to experience the pace and stillness that most itineraries skip.

"A walk through Ueno Park at 7 in the morning is a completely different Tokyo. The guide knows every corner — the pond, the old trees, the hidden paths. I came back twice more."
"The Takao hike was more than I expected. We set out early, mist between the trees, the smell of cedar — words don't quite capture it. Well organised from start to finish."
"Nikko in autumn is something else — red maples, the sound of waterfalls, the scale of Toshogu. The guide shared so much context that the visit felt genuinely immersive."
All our walks are conducted in English. Our guides also speak Japanese, which allows for meaningful interaction with the local environment and people along the route.
We work with groups of 1 to 8 people. Keeping groups small helps preserve the quiet, allows for a flexible pace, and makes it easier to enjoy the surroundings without distraction. Private walks are also available.
Most city walks (Ueno, Shinjuku) are suitable for a wide range of guests, including older adults and families with children. The Mt. Takao trail involves more elevation and a moderate level of fitness is recommended. We will always tell you what to expect before you book.
We operate year-round. Each season in Japan has its own character: spring brings cherry blossoms, summer offers the coolness of mountain forests, autumn is known for maple colour, and winter for quiet snow-covered gardens. Get in touch and we can suggest which routes suit your travel period.
Call us on +81 44-722-2866 or send an email — we will confirm the date, agree on a meeting point, and share any preparation notes. Payment is made in cash or by bank transfer on the day of the walk.
